Today, I have the pleasure of introducing you to a fellow Pandamoon author. She’s bright, she’s inspired, and she’s ready to take the world by storm. Find a comfortable seat in the living room and enjoy getting to know, Heather Jacobs.

You’re an author who is just now coming onto the scene. Tell us your favorite part about writing and your greatest struggle.

Time management. Like many others out there I have to maintain my full time gig. It’s sometimes hard to fit in the writing I have to do in order to finish a manuscript. I’m struggling with that right now on book two of my series. I’m so busy with the currently paying gig I can’t find the time to write.

My favorite part is easy. I love transporting myself into a whole different world and immersing myself in my characters’ lives. I love every character (even the villains) I’ve created. They are an extended family almost. I get to go places I never can/could outside of their worlds.

Share your favorite passage from your book in one paragraph or less.

One paragraph is hard, but this is one of my favorite parts. The entire scene is my favorite.

“People say that your life flashes before your eyes before you die, but they’re wrong. It’s not your life that passes before you, it’s the regrets that do. It’s the regret you have for not telling that someone in your life just how important they are, and just how much you love them. It’s the regret that you didn’t live your life better. Or how you didn’t take that job. It’s the regret that you weren’t a better person. Regrets. That’s all that flashed before my eyes as the line of rifles blasted off their rounds.” – Chapter 19

You’ve been presented with the opportunity to be a best-selling author but can never write again or write forever but never have a bestseller. Which scenario sounds more tempting?

Wow, you ask some really tough questions! LOL. I’d have to say never be a best-selling author and write forever. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember and to be without it would be like losing a piece of my soul. I don’t need to sell thousands of books. I want to, but it’s not necessary to keep me writing.

If you could live on a college campus and never leave or in a small town but be able to travel, which one would you choose?

Small town. I grew up in a small town and just knowing I can travel is enough for me. While I love learning and enjoyed college, I hated living on campus. So to be stuck on one would be horrible to me.

Okay, how about in a zoo or in a museum?

Simply because I fear being eaten by one of the animals because I accidentally fell into their enclosure I’m going to go with the museum. I also adore history so I’d never be bored.

And what about Alaska or Hawaii?

Alaska. But this was a very hard question. I want to visit both, but just knowing I handle cold better than heat, I went with Alaska. There’s also more available men.

Who is your favorite 90’s band (I’m thinking Counting Crows, Blink 182, Hootie & the Blowfish)?

Cowboy Mouth, but really only for their song “Jenny Says.” I used to sing that song all the freaking time. I also owned the Aqua CD. 🙂

Is there any good band out there today that we’ll talk about in 50 years?

I’m really in love with Hugo (@HugoOfficial) right now. His song Bread and Butter was used in a Castle commercial and his version of 99 Problems is in the end credits of the new version of Fright Night (where I actually was first introduced to him). He’s active on social media and really responsive to fans. His album Old Tyme Religion is a must download. I enjoy all his songs. Apparently he’s working on finishing a second album right now.

And what about your favorite comedy on TV (My favorite is The Office)?

Confession time for me: I’ve never seen The Office. That out of the way I’d have to say my favorite comedy is New Girl. I love the humor and I can totally relate to the characters as I’m in the same place in my life right now. Pushing 30, wondering what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Is there anything you’re currently working on?

I’m currently working on the second book in the We the People series called Self-Evident Truths. I’m also working on a new story. Haven’t gotten very far into it, but I love the narrator Etta to pieces already.

You’re stranded on a desert island and you can take two things with you as well as two people. What and who are you bringing?

Since my dog, Titan, acts like a person, he’ll be one, and my good friend Ashley would be the second. And I’d bring diet coke and a good book.

You’re able to sit down with any leader in world history. Who would you choose, what would you talk about, and would you rather have him over to your house or meet at their place of royalty?

I’ve always wanted to meet Julius Caesar. In middle school and high school I was into Ancient History, particularly the Roman Empire, something fierce. Caesar was a military mastermind and I would just love to have a chat with him. Since I’ve also always wanted to go to Rome we’ll meet at his place. LOL.

You can wish for one thing and one thing only, not world peace and no more wishes. What’s it gonna be?

This is a tough one. Not that I want more wishes or world peace (ok I do, but I wouldn’t wish for it. It’s something to be earned). Hmmm. Financial freedom. I don’t need to be wealthy just without bills is all. The freedom to travel and not worry about the expenses.
