I really loved this book. Campbell pulled me in from the start, and I enjoyed seeing the story through the eyes of the different characters. Some, okay most, were frustrating, but the book was written in a believable way. I liked where the story went and the struggles of the women. If you’re looking for a different type of suspense/mystery, this one is definitely for you.

Killman Creek by Rachel Caine
I enjoyed this book but not as much as the first one, Stillhouse Lake. I listened to the audiobook, so some of that may have been on the narrators. I didn’t like how she switched between the different characters throughout the novel. Also, the storyline wasn’t nearly as believable as in the first book. I think it would have been better if she just stuck with the first book, yet the story was still interesting, just not great or all that memorable.
Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter
Being from Georgia, I understand that some of the accents and stereotypes are accurate in this book. With that being said, parts of it felt forced and played into the dumb southerner cliché that is a bit annoying. Slaughter does a nice job of pacing the mystery and introducing viable suspects. I found myself blaming one character and then shifting to another, and I enjoyed the ending. Overall, it was good, not great, but definitely worth a read.
