The Ocean at the End of the Lane, by Neil Gaiman

This was a cute, imaginative book that I went into with little knowledge of the story. I found myself pleasantly surprised by the characters and their distinct roles. My biggest complaint is that it was too short. I would have liked to know more about the nanny, the neighbor girl, and the boy’s family. Still, I give it a strong three stars, and it is worth the read.
